There are a lot of Airsoft players who think that they can become better players simply by upgrading their weapons. However, what these players really need to do is develop their shooting skills so that they can more reliably hit a target.
The first thing that you should work on is your grip. Here it is very important to have your hand as high up on the grip as possible. You also need to have your middle finger up as high into the trigger guard as possible and the web of your hand up high as possible onto the rear of the grip. This will give you a lot more control when it comes to aiming and recoiling regardless as to what type of a gun, pistol, SMG, rifle or shotgun you are using. Of course, pistols are the weapons that are the most affected by your grip.
Now that you have your grip down, you need to ensure that you are squeezing the trigger with the fingerprint area of your finger and never with your joint area. This is important because if you use your joint to pull the trigger, then it will jerk the trigger and mess up your sight picture. Once you have this positioning down, you should slowly squeeze the trigger until you are able to successfully do so in 1 smooth movement without moving the gun. This is especially important if you are using a pistol or if you are an airsoft sniper.
Once you have all of this done, it is time to work on shooting your gun. You should keep your eye on a small area and aim at it. Herein you do not want to aim for the entire target, instead simply focus upon hitting only the bull's eye. Otherwise you will more than likely miss the entire target.
